This week in Richmond, CA, families have a plethora of options to keep the kids busy and engaged. Whether it’s through aquatic adventures or community service, there's something for everyone. Here’s a breakdown of the highlights:
Swimming Activities
- Youth Swim - Sea Turtles: Designed for ages 6-13 to build confidence in water. Classes run on Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, starting this Saturday, 10/5 through 10/26.
- Jellyfish Swim Lessons: Ages 3-6 will learn essential water safety skills in sessions at 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM, from 10/5 to 10/26.
- Little Splashers: Perfect for younger kids (up to age 4) to get an introduction to water safety next Saturday at 10:00 AM.
- Intermediate Swim Lessons for teens and adults (ages 13+) will be held from October 1 to October 10. Improve your swimming skills on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Advanced Youth Swim Programs such as Dolphin Level 2 will help enhance skills and boost confidence for kids aged 6-13 at 10:30 AM. Sessions start next Saturday, 10/5 and run through 10/26.

- Harmony Walk: Join the Nicholl Park event on Saturday, 10/5 to support efforts to end hunger and homelessness in our community. A great way to engage as a family in giving back.

- Hugelkultur Workshop: Hosted at Annie's Annuals & Perennials, learn how to create nutrient-rich gardens sustainably on Saturday, 10/5. This is perfect for budding young gardeners!
