Banned Books - Postcard Writing - Centerville Library

Drink boba and write postcards expressing your support for an end to book banning!

Banned Books Week is a celebration, but there's never been a more important time to get involved. The American Library Association (as well as groups like Unite Against Book Bans and PEN America) reported that public libraries saw a 92% increase in the number of titles targeted for censorship last year. 

Centerville Library is hosting this non-partisan event to encourage civic engagement in the fight against book bans. Registrants will receive postcards (with postage) to write to the recipient of their choosing, and a classic boba drink. 

-This program is best for ages 12-19

-Space (and boba) is limited. Tickets will be passed out at 12:45pm on 9/28. Members can join as long as supplies last!
