Storytime at Alameda County Library

Please join us for baby storytime!

This storytime is for babies up to 18 months and their caregivers. Be prepared to sit on the floor with baby in your lap to hear stories, sing songs, and participate in lap bounces that are tailored for this unique phase of development. After storytime, stay and play with age-appropriate toys, make new friends, and explore.

Please note there is no baby storytime on the following Fridays: October 4 and November 8.

Storytime is a free ticketed event with limited capacity.

Seating for storytime is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you arrive before the library is open, please line up at the sign located near the entrance. A library staff member will come out to hand out tickets 15 minutes prior to the start of the program. Tickets are limited and only available for those present. Please be fair and do NOT save spots in line for friends or family. Thank you!

Priority for tickets is given to babies that fall within the program's suggested age range. Toddlers over 18 months old are encouraged to attend Toddler Storytime on Thursdays.

All families are welcome.

Space is limited. Tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis in the children's area starting at 2:15 PM. We will not reserve tickets in advance.

Families are invited to join us for stories, songs and fingerplays! This program is geared towards toddlers and preschoolers, but is open to all ages. We will be meeting in the Virginia Bennett Room. No registration necessary.
