Storytime at Alameda County Library

Come join us for stories, songs, and fun on Wednesday mornings!

This storytime is designed for preschool aged children. However, all are welcome. Each week we will explore a new theme through storytelling, song, and movement. 

We request that parents remain present and engage with their children during the program as we learn and explore together!

Registration is not required for this event.

Join us every Wednesday morning for fun stories, finger plays, songs, and activities in both Mandarin and English!

This Storytime is recommended for ages 3-6 and their family.

Space is limited.  Free tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be distributed at the ticket line located outside the library 15 minutes before the program starts. We will not reserve tickets in advance.

Join us for family storytime at the library! Enjoy stories, songs, movement, and coloring activities. This program is geared toward toddlers and preschoolers but is open to all ages. No registration is required.

Join us for toddler storytime at the Fremont Library! Children and their caregivers are invited for a morning of stories, songs, and fingerplays. 

This program is designed to accommodate toddlers ages 18 to 36 months and their caregivers

Children, parents, and caregivers will have a blast laughing, signing, and singing with Teacher Bill, author of the book, Signs of a Happy Baby. Mr. Bill integrates American Sign Language (ASL) into his storytime.

Baby Sign Language gives children the opportunity to communicate long before they can verbalize their wants and needs. Research studies show that signing with babies accelerates language acquisition, reduces frustration, enhances a child's self-esteem, and deepens the bond between parent and child.

Seats are limited, and a ticket is required to attend this storytime. Tickets will be handed out 15 minutes prior to the start of the program.

Join us for stories and music on Sunday afternoon at Newark Library. This program is in Russian and is planned for children ages 2 and older, but everyone is welcome.

Be prepared to sit on the floor with a child in your lap to hear stories and sing songs.

After storytime, play with age-appropriate toys, make new friends, and explore.
