Want a 2024 goal that checks the healthy box while learning about our city and meeting new people? Join us while we walk every street in the city of Belmont! We will meet weekly on Sundays at 1 PM for one hour and track our progress online and on paper. Come for one walk, all of them, or complete the walks on your own!

Walks led by Parks and Recreation Commissioner Adar Emken and Volunteer Coordinator Susan Rendina.

Who can join? Anyone! We do ask that children under the age of 16 have adult supervision. Dogs are welcome, but must be well-socialized to people and other dogs and remain on a 6-foot leash.

Where will the walks take place? Walks will depart weekly from different local parks, schools, or other landmarks. We plan to walk all paved streets in Belmont, with or without sidewalks. Some streets may have steep hills.

What should I bring? Please plan to carry whatever you need to be comfortable during a one-hour walk (such as water, a hat, sunblock, walking sticks, strollers for small children, etc.). Please no bicycles, scooters, skateboards, or roller skates.

What if it’s raining? Walks will be held rain or shine; however, they may be cancelled if conditions are hazardous.

What if I miss a walk? No problem! Walks will be tracked on a map posted outside the Parks & Recreation office. We invite anyone to complete a walk anytime. We hope to celebrate with everyone who achieves the goal of walking every street in Belmont.
