AI Engineering - Intro - AI Discovery Lab

Young AI Explorers will dive into the Thrilling World of Artificial Intelligence at the AI Discovery Lab! This innovative one-week camp is a journey into the dynamic fields of AI and AR, blending creativity with cutting-edge technology. Students will learn with their own grade level group: Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12.This camp is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).No prior computer knowledge is needed!Fun outdoor and indoor activities and plays are part of the camp experience.Discovering AI – A First Step: Students will delve into the intriguing universe of AI, grasping its core concepts and demystifying its operations. More than just learning, it's a leap into tomorrow's possibilities!Training AI with Everyday Wonders to Create Their Own AI Models: Campers will engage in hands-on activities, training their own AI to recognize special items and sounds. Imagine an AI that can identify your favorite toy or respond to your voice – that's the power of AI learning!Understanding Data in AI: They'll explore the concepts of data bias and data quality, learning how these affect AI's understanding and accuracy. It's a chance to see how AI thinks and learns, just like us!AI & AR Fusion – Crafting Smart Interactive Worlds: The adventure intensifies as students blend AI with Augmented Reality (AR). They'll design interactive, intelligent AR projects, bringing the AI they've programmed to life in a vibrant, augmented realm.Creative Coding and Experiential Learning: This camp is about more than learning – it's about doing. Participants will see their ideas and creations come alive in a space where AI and AR merge, turning their imaginative concepts into tangible realities.A Week of Discovery and Innovation: Students will explore the fundamentals of AI, encompassing topics such as the definition of AI, its operational mechanisms, training and testing of AI models, evaluating and improving AI accuracy, and the role of data in AI. They will also learn how to train and develop their own AI models. Additionally, the program includes instruction in Holographic AR design and coding.
