Learn how to play drums in a Rock band. In this 8-week course students will learn the fundamentals of playing the drum set, reading music, understanding rhythm and tempo and technique. Students will learn rudimentary stick exercises to help build muscle control and dexterity then apply these skills to play primary rock drum beats to popular rock songs. Students will need a practice pad and sticks. Each student will get to practice on a drum kit in class. A $15 material fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
