Got little ones in grades K - 2? Awesome! They're invited to jump into our Early Readers Book Club!

This book club is all about diving into cool books for early readers. It's perfect for children who are just starting to get the hang of reading in school. We want to make reading fun, spark their love for books, and help them make friends along the way.

What to Expect?

Our sessions provide a fun and interactive way to practice reading skills through group reading, discussions, and craft activities or games, all centered around a different theme each session!

Unlike a typical book club, there is no need to read the book ahead of time. We will read one book together as a group from our Juvenile Early Readers collection. This month, we will be reading Rocket and the Perfect Pumpkin.

Our Early Reader Book Club offers engaging practices to model ways parents can interact with their children and foster emergent literacy skills.

All abilities are welcome. For special accommodations, please contact the Library with 72 hours' notice.

No registration is required. Attendance is first come, first served.

This activity is presented by Contra Costa County Library and scheduled to take place on Wednesday 11/20 from 3:30p-4:30p at Contra Costa County Library - Concord. For more information, click "Participate" to visit the website of Contra Costa County Library.
