Storytime at Contra Costa County Library

Join us for songs, stories, and movement! Stay after the stories to play! Most appropriate for ages 0-3, but all ages are welcome.

Read! Talk! Sing! Play! Join us for Storytime and enjoy books, songs, fingerplays, movement and fun. Attending Storytime is a wonderful opportunity for young children to develop language, early literacy and social skills.  Participants are welcome to stay for a 15-minute play session at the end of storytime.

This Storytime, for children ages 1-5, will have a little something for everyone.

Fun for the whole family! Family Storytime is a fun combination of storybooks, flannel boards, and songs to strengthen early literacy skills. Most appropriate for ages 3-5, but all ages are welcome. No registration necessary. For special accommodations, please contact the library with 72 hours' notice.

Join us as we read a selection of picture book stories, sing songs, and engage in movement activities for children ages 0-5 years old. Each storytime lasts approximately 20-30 minutes.

After storytime, we offer a 30-minute stay-and-play session that allows children and caregivers to meet and interact with our collection of building toys and early literacy activities.

Prepare little ones for reading with lively songs and stories. Siblings welcome. In the Brentwood Library Community Room, accessible from the picture book area.
