Storytime at Contra Costa County Library

Join your friends at Hercules Library for music, rhymes, flannel board stories, and book-centered fun every Saturday! We'll have two identical back-to-back storytimes with limited space in each:

• 10:00-10:30am in the Children's Library (limited to 75 attendees)
• 10:30-11:00am in the Large Conference Room (limited to 65 attendees) 

Library storytime is a great way to help young children develop their early literacy and social skills while building a lifelong love of learning. Plus, it's a lot fun!

Best for children ages 5 and younger with a caregiver, but all ages and abilities are welcome.

Enjoy a selection of board books, picture books, songs and rhymes designed for families and caregivers with children of all ages and abilities. 

Free play follows each storytime offering children and caregivers the opportunity to socialize and interact with each other through our early literacy toys and activities.

Build early literacy skills with stories, songs, finger plays and fun. Stay after for playtime or a simple craft. Content focused on ages 1 to 5, but all ages and abilities welcome.

Read! Talk! Sing! Play! Join us for Storytime and enjoy books, songs, fingerplays, movement and fun. Attending Storytime is a wonderful opportunity for young children to develop language, early literacy and social skills. Participants are welcome to stay for a 15-minute play session at the end of the Storytime.

This Storytime, for children ages 1-5, will have a little something for everyone!

Get ready to wiggle and giggle in Peek-A-Book Storytime, where we practice early literacy skills through sharing books, singing songs and moving around. Best for ages 0-2, with their caregivers. Fun-filled learning with books, songs, and rhymes followed by a craft or activity. This event is intended for children ages 3 to 6, but all ages and abilities are welcome. For special accommodations, please contact the library with 72 hours notice.

Join Miss Rosa for Family Storytime this Tuesday at 10:30am. Get ready for fun songs, dances, fingerplay, stories and book-centered fun! Activities are most appropriate for babies and toddlers, but all ages are welcome with a parent/caregiver. Session is limited to 60 attendees.
