Storytime at Contra Costa County Library

Join us as we read a selection of picture book stories, sing songs, and engage in movement activities for children ages 0-5 years old. Each storytime lasts approximately 20-30 minutes.

After storytime, we offer a 30-minute stay-and-play session that allows children and caregivers to meet and interact with our collection of building toys and early literacy activities.

Fun for the whole family! Family Storytime is a fun combination of storybooks, flannel boards, and songs to strengthen early literacy skills. Most appropriate for ages 3-5, but all ages are welcome. Read! Talk! Sing! Play! Join us for Storytime and enjoy books, songs, fingerplays, movement and fun. Attending Storytime is a wonderful opportunity for young children to develop language, early literacy and social skills.  Participants are welcome to stay for a 15-minute play session at the end of storytime.

This Storytime, for children ages 1-5, will have a little something for everyone.
