The City of Dublin’s After-school Recreation programs promote positive youth development and supports the childcare needs of families in Dublin. After-school Recreation is for children in first to fifth grades and is offered at Amador, Cottonwood Creek, Dougherty, Dublin, Frederiksen, John Green, Kolb, and Murray elementary schools. The program provides students with both outdoor and indoor activities and games to keep them active daily. The program allows students to partake in arts and crafts, keep their brains working with a variety of STEM activities, play with a collection of board games and provides a quieter space to work on homework or read a book during “Rec Rotations.” Each school site is supervised by Recreation Staff with leadership training and certification in First Aid and CPR. After-school Recreation runs from school dismissal until 5:45 PM, including minimum days. Please note After-school Recreation does not operate on school holidays or any other non-school day.
