Fremont is surrounded by a diverse blend of ecosystems and habitats, notably dominated by oak woodlands. This program explores the fascinating and intricate relationships within oak woodland ecosystems and the critical role of some of the keystone species. Through a guided presentation and small field activities, gain a deeper understanding of how keystone species, such as acorn woodpeckers, support the health of oak woodlands. Come join Park Staff and learn about this magnificent ecosystem that surrounds the city!

While this program is FREE, space is limited, so registration is required.

All ages welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If signing your child up for this program, please ensure to sign yourself up as well.

The Nature Learning Center is located in Central Park. Free parking is available on a first-come, first served basis. Enter the Aqua Adventure Waterpark parking lot, continue to the end, and park near the 6 palm trees.
