Plants and poetry! Horticultural haikus! Photosynthesis and phrases! Join park staff as we discuss the variety of plants that grow in the Japanese tea garden at Shinn Historical Park and Arboretum. Practice mindfulness and experience relaxation as you use your five senses to study plants from the garden. Paper and pencils will be provided to take notes, but you are more than welcome to bring your own journal and note-taking supplies. Conclude the day by learning about Japanese poetry and writing a haiku of your own about your experience in the garden.

This program was designed for individuals 12+ years.
