Not long ago, Steelhead Salmon were an important species that thrived in Alameda Creek. Join Park Staff at the Nature Learning Center to learn about the challenges and opportunities surrounding steelhead recovery and conservation. Participants will engage in discussions led by a Park Ranger and explore topics, such as habitat restoration, fisheries management, and the impact of climate change on steelhead salmon habitats. Come join a dialogue aimed at deepening the understanding of the issues that steelhead populations historically faced and the problems still facing management today.

While this program is FREE, space is limited, so registration is required.

All ages welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If signing your child up for this program, please ensure to sign yourself up as well.

The Nature Learning Center is located in Central Park. Free parking is available on a first-come, first served basis. Enter the Aqua Adventure Waterpark parking lot, continue to the end, and park near the 6 palm trees.
