Students will learn to create and verbalize monologues and poetry, transforming them into captivating short films. Vallejo Co-Poet Laureates Jacalyn Eyvonne and Kathleen Herrmann will present the four-hour session. Beginning with brainstorming and idea generation, crafting projects, followed by script development, utilizing dynamic voice projection and memorization techniques, practicing refining on-camera skills, and introducing directing essentials, culminating with hands-on filmmaking techniques, on-camera, and behind-the-camera activities to bring students' poetic visions to life. We aim to equip young minds with the tools to weave the written word into visual storytelling, enhancing self-esteem, confidence, and communication skills.
