Art Workshop - Fall - South

Children will explore fine art by observing artwork done by the masters. Each week students will view and analyze colorful prints of a master artist and understand the simple shapes and color used to accomplish their work. We will apply this knowledge by first drawing the composition by pencil and then use oil pastel techniques to finish our artwork. Each lesson will include drawing instructions and color blending techniques which help guide the student to new creative skills. Students will develop their confidence while creating their own unique artwork. They will work with stencils, drawing pencils and oil pastels for an understanding of composition, pattern and color theory to make their own masterpieces. All materials included.
