Introductory class to familiarize children to the aquatics environment and help them acquire rudimentary aquatic skills. No prerequisites required other than age. Students will perform most skills with assistance from instructors.

In order to pass Preschool Aquatics Level 1, children must be able to complete the following:
  • Enter and exit water using ladder, step or side.
  • Blow bubbles through mouth and nose.
  • Submerge face.
  • Open eyes under water and retrieve objects.
  • Front glide and recover to vertical position.
  • Black glide and recover to vertical position.
  • Roll from front to back and back to front.
  • Arm action on front and on back.
  • Demonstrate treading action.
  • Leg action on front and on back.
  • Combined arm and leg action on front and on back.
