Preschool Programs

*Preregistration for existing preschool families is from April 22 through May 6, 2024. Registration will open to the general public on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 8am.*

This pre-kindergarten class is designed to assist in your preschooler's foundation for school readiness. Children will make "friends" with letters, shapes, colors, numbers and their classmates through playful and creative activities that focus on listening, logic and other cognitive and social skills. 

The Pre-K program welcomes 4-year old’s considered “TK” eligible for NVUSD and Pre-K for the 4 - 5 year old's that will be entering kindergarten the following fall. If your child has an August birthday and you choose to hold him/her/them back he/she/they would be eligible for one more year in Pre-K as well.

Our programs are play-based programs that develop socialization, cooperation, fine motor skills, and play skills through imaginative play, sensory games and projects. Watch your child's self-esteem, confidence and creativity blossom through singing, art, stories, imagination and active games.

• What to Bring to Class - For safety reasons, we ask that no personal items, outside of the items listed, be brought to school unless preapproved by the teachers. If your child has any specific health or nutritional needs, please contact us at 707.257.9307. Each child should bring:
  • a hard shell refillable water bottle
  • a healthy snack (i.e. fruit, cheese, veggie sticks, yogurt, etc), we are a nut free classroom

The Las Flores Preschool Programs run mid September through late May. We follow the Napa Valley Unified School District holiday schedule and recognize all city-wide closures.

The Las Flores Preschool Programs consist of two (2) classes; Little Rascals for 3-year old’s and 4-year old’s considered “TK” eligible for NVUSD and Pre-K for the 4 - 5 year old's that will be entering kindergarten the following fall. All Little Rascals must be potty-trained. No "Pull-Ups" or diapers allowed.

Together you and your child will experience songs, art and movement activities that introduce children to a social classroom setting while having a great time! Adult/guardian participation is required. One adult is required to attend this class with the child enrolled. Siblings (younger or older) may not attend this class.

Tinkergarten’s program is designed for learners aged 18 mos to 5 years old. Our child-led, play-based approach is designed to support a wide range of learners in engaging in deep, meaningful learning.

Children will learn through play experiences designed to support the development of the following 8 essential skills—all while deepening their connection to the natural world we all share. 

The 8 skills include:

• Creativity
• Empathy
• Focus
• Persistence
• Problem Solving
• Sensory Development
• Wellness

Class will take place on the turf at the Las Flores Community Center outside the playground. This is an adult/child participation class. Siblings are allowed if they meet the age requirement and have paid for the program. Wearable infants are acceptable without an additional fee. Please bring water and a picnic blanket (preferably waterproof) and dress in layers.
