Our Winter Youth Basketball Programs cover ages 5-12 and are broken up into the following programs:
Mini Warriors (First 3 Saturdays in December)
Each session is 50 minutes on a Saturday and participants are grouped by age (5 year-olds, 6 year-olds, and 7 year-olds). The goal of the program is to teach basketball fundamentals through fun skills and drills and to prepare them for the Junior Warriors Basketball League when they turn 8 years old.
Junior Warriors (1 hour practice per week and Saturday Games Mid-January through Mid-March)
Our Junior Warriors League has participants (Ages 8-12) practice for one hour per week on a weeknight while playing games on Saturdays. Players will have an evaluation the first week of practice with all of the players in their age group. Teams will be formed based off of those evaluations in order to create as equal as teams as possible. Beginning the second week, players will practice with their team and throughout the remainder of the season. Each player will get a reversible Warriors Jersey and certificate at the end of the season.
Time to Hoop it Up with our Mini Warriors Basketball program that puts the FUN in Fundamentals! Players will learn basic skills through drills and play to prepare for when they are old enough to play in the Junior Warriors Basketball League. Mini Warriors meets for 50 minutes on three consecutive Saturdays, culminating with a scrimmage at the end of the program.
