Swim Try Outs

Try outs are for the following programs:

  • Pre-Swim Team (Spring and Fall)
  • Mini-Dolfins (Spring and/or Summer)
  • Dolfins Swim Team (new 10 & U swimmers only)
  • Swim Team Clinic (Spring and Fall)

New swimmers, 10 years & under, must register for and attend try outs to ensure correct program placement.  You may register for programs before you attend try outs - some programs will fill before try outs. 

Please only sign up for one try out date/time - once you are enrolled in programs coaches will let you know which program is appropriate for continuing swimmers. 

Those who have been on the Dolfins Swim Team do not need to attend try outs. Those who have participated in Pre-Swim Team or Mini-Dolfins should only attend try outs if you are unsure of correct program registration. 

Swimming prerequisites are:

  • Pre-Swim Team/Mini-Dolfins - participants must be able to float on their stomach and back for at least 10 seconds, as well as 'swim' with their face in the water and take at least 3 breaths on their own
  • Dolfins Swim Team/Spring Swim Team Clinic/Fall Swim Team Clinic - participants must be able to swim, unassisted, 25 yards each of freestyle (face in the water with rhythmic breathing) and backstroke

Swimmers must pre-register; drop-ins are not allowed.
