Celebrate and honor loved ones who have passed at the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration at the Pleasanton Library. View beautiful, homemade ofrendas built by community members celebrating and honoring those who have departed. There will also be a bilingual storytime at 11:00 a.m. and a take-home craft.

Day of the Dead, or El Dia de los Muertos, is a positive, upbeat cultural celebration of those who have passed. It is a festive, family centered celebration of friends and relatives. Pleasanton Library and Recreation Department are looking for individuals or groups to create and display an ofrenda in the special community exhibition: Día de Los Muertos: Honoring the Dead. To apply, please fill out an Ofrenda Reservation Form then email it to [email protected] by Saturday October 26 at 5:00 p.m. or turn it in in-person to the library Info Desk during open hours by Saturday October 26 at 5:00 p.m.
