Piano Recital Performance - Advanced

Pianists, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for....the chance to demonstrate your skills and show family and friends the result of the hard work you've put in learning the piano! Exclusively for participants who are currently studying or have completed the Alfred All-in-One book 4 or Piano Adventures Level 3A, this class will encourage students to engage in a deeper level of study on a longer song. After carefully considering the rhythm, dynamics, and posture of the song, participants will begin preparing mentally to perform their memorized piece for family and friends on Saturday, February 1, at 7 p.m., at the Mission City Center for Performing Arts. Participants must currently be involved in study with the instructor. Online participants should expect to attend one in-studio hour in the months leading up to the recital, to practice performing their songs in front of others on a real piano. Everyone is expected to attend a dress rehearsal on Saturday, January 25, from 11:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Performance pieces will be chosen in August and participants must be registered by Aug 23, no exceptions. Must be registered in Fall and Winter sessions of classes to participate.
