This is a hands on course and creative lab for anyone who wants to learn to use electronics, sensors, motors and digital fabrication tools to make their creative ideas come to life. You’ll learn to work with animating LED lights, motors, sensors and programmable controls via an Arduino, with an emphasis on creative and artistic exploration. The course will include both theory and hands-on technical exploration of the materials, with plenty of open lab time for individual projects. Bring your interactive circuitry ideas to life with digitally fabricated designs you’ll make using our 3d printers and laser cutter. The course is meant for curious beginners, returning students and advanced techno-wizards alike. Basic electronics supplies are provided for use during the first few classes. You will need to purchase additional materials for your individual project(s). This might cost between $50-$100, depending on your project. We recommend you bring your own laptop; laptops can be provided for use in class if needed.
