Saturday STEaM at Almaden: Static Snowglobes
12/7
Sat, 11a-12p
8-12
San José Public Library - Almaden

Why does your hair stick to a balloon when you rub them together? Why do you get shocked when you touch the doorknob? The answer to these questions lies in a single concept: static electricity! By interacting with various materials, students will explore the meaning of static electricity and the effect of conductivity. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to decorate their own snow globe ornament and to bring it home!

Appropriate for ages 8 -12.

Free, with limited capacity. Tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis starting 1 hour before the program.
