Storytime at San José Library

Family Storytime is designed to accommodate a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement.

Free. Limited Capacity.

Storytime Guidelines:

• All participants will need a storytime ticket. Tickets are limited and available at the Information Desk 60-minutes before the program.
• We recommend families bring a blanket
• Please review the Library's Safety Guidelines
• Please note that our program schedule may be subject to change due to inclement weather or poor air quality.

This program is for babies that are not yet walking confidently, and their caregivers.

Come join us every Tuesday for Baby Lapsit Storytime!

Baby Lapsit invites newborns, infants, babies, and their caregivers to learn together by strengthening their relationship with each other through stories, songs, bounces, tickles, rhymes, books, and play.

After Storytime concludes, we invite you to Stay & Play! The Storytime librarian will join in the fun with special toys, giving babies and parents time to connect.

• Lapsit Storytime 11:00 - 11:30 am
• Stay & Play 11:30 am - 12:00 pm

• Please note that this will be an indoor program.
• Seating for Storytime is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of tickets will be distributed at the Information Desk 30 minutes prior to the start of Storytime.

This program is developed to align with the Early Education Quality Standards.

Free. Attendance limits follow SJPL guidelines.
