San Mateo County Libraries - Woodside

For Ages 15+ / Adults

Beading is an ancestral art native to many indigenous communities around the world. Every community has its own patterns, techniques, and history. As an art, beading is meditative and culturally rich. It is a healing modality that allows us to explore our creativity, improve our mental wellness, and for many people, allow us to reconnect with our cultural roots.

In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of beading a Huichol-style flower to make earrings, necklace pendants, or keychain charms.

In order to make this program available to the widest audience possible, and to accommodate our waitlist, please only register at one community library location for this program.

This activity is presented by San Mateo County Libraries and scheduled to take place on Wednesday 12/18 from 11a-1p at San Mateo County Libraries - Woodside. For more information, click "Participate" to visit the website of San Mateo County Libraries.
