Lowriding - Chicano Tradition - Library Parking Lot

Learn about the Chicano tradition of lowriding with Ricardo Cortez, author of The ABC's of Lowriding. Ricardo will discuss his book and explore lowriding culture from the 1940's until today through a hands-on collage-making activity. Each participant will walk away with their own framed work of art! In the library's parking lot, see real-life lowrider cars and experience their incredible hydraulics, sound systems, and custom paint jobs!

Registration is required only for those who would like to participate in the art workshop and is reserved for youth under age 18. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend but do not need to register. If you would just like to see the lowrider demonstration, registration is not required.
