Mini Altar Workshop - Day of the Dead - Bay Area

Participants will create a miniature ofrenda ("altar") for Day of the Dead, with step-by-step instruction by Bay Area artist Elizabeth Jiménez Montelongo. The artist will show participants how to make fruit, bread, flowers, candles, skulls, and paper banners to decorate the ofrenda. All materials are provided, but it is recommended that participants bring three empty cereal boxes or pasta boxes (per person or per family.)

Los participantes diseñarán una ofrenda pequeña con el apoyo de la artista del Área de la Bahía Elizabeth Jiménez Montelongo. La artista les enseñará a hacer frutas, pan dulce, flores, veladoras, calaveritas, y papel picado para decorar su ofrenda. Todos los materiales proveídos, pero se recomienda traer tres cajas de cereal o pasta vacias (por persona o por familia.)
