Porter Porter is a band from Guadalajara, Mexico, formed in 2004. Their music can be defined by three concepts: Rock - Mexica - Experimental.
This band is part of the rise of the Indie scene in Mexico, standing out for their avant-garde approach and being one of the leading musical acts in Spanish-speaking rock. Their sound leans towards experimental tendencies influenced by various musical genres, ranging from Noise Pop, Post-Rock, and Electronic Indie to Pop and even Cinematic Soundtracks. They have been nominated three times for the Latin Grammy in the categories of "Best Alternative Album" and "Best Music Video." Additionally, they have been nominated for and won awards such as the MTV Millennial Awards, the Lunas del Auditorio, and the IMAS. Hello Seahorse! Hello Seahorse! is one of the most respected Mexican bands in the independent scene, formed in Mexico City in late 2005. The current members are Denise Gutiérrez \(vocals\), Bonnz \(drums\), and Burgos \(keyboards\).
In January 2020, they released their album "Disco Estimulante," which was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Alternative Album category. In 2022, after a pandemic-forced hiatus, they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their acclaimed album "Arunima" with a live EP featuring five tracks and a special collaboration with Ely Guerra on "No te vayas al bosque." They also toured 10 U.S. cities and 18 in Mexico, performing "Arunima" from start to finish.
