Carpentry for Kids

Carpentry for Kids curriculum is designed to teach practical wood-working skills, with an emphasis on the safe use of hand tools. Students will have an opportunity to create fun, functional, and beautiful projects, measuring, sawing, rasping, sanding, drilling, fastening, as they develop the valuable skills of problem solving, craftsmanship, fine motor skills, respect for tools, and patience. This class is for students of all levels. Returning students will introduced to new tools, techniques, and project choices.

 

$45 materials fee paid directly to instructor, due on the first class meeting
