In this class students will start at the level they are and increase their abilities over time to build robots using both LEGO spike and VEX IQ.A typical learning path is to start with LEGOs and program using a block interface (scratch).Once they are comfortable with the LEGO system we introduce the VEX building system as it offers more options with a slightly increased complexity. When they are ready we introduce other languages like python and C.For more advanced users we use raspberry pi to control the LEGO system to support robots that use also machine learning and computer vision. If a student finds coding hard we might also interleave robotics with coding only classes to increase their familiarity and confidence in that specific topic. We also encourage the students to come with their build ideas for machine they want to build and keep. For example, students can build arduino based lighting effects for the winter holiday season.
