Due to popular demand, we are pleased to join the United Lowrider Council of San Jose \(ULCSJ\) and Local Color SJ to present our 2nd Annual Lowrider Art Showcase. Using the historic grounds of Montalvo and Santa Clara County Park trails, we are excited to bring back this fun, FREE, family-friendly afternoon—which will feature a fleet of stunning lowrider cars on the Great Lawn; art-making and painting demonstrations in the gardens; local artists and vendors; DJs and dancing; and delicious options from local food vendors.
Start your journey on "A Path Forward: Honoring Ohlone Land & Spirit" and our powerful new living monument hummingbird sculpture, explore Montalvo's art, gardens, and grounds, and enjoy a beautiful afternoon with us!
NOTE: All parking will be at West Valley College, Parking Lot 5, with a free shuttle to and from Montalvo.

Lowrider culture began in LA in the ’40s when enthusiasts retrofitted their autos with custom wheels, hydraulic lifts and other dazzling accessories. The culture soon expanded across the nation and beyond. Presented by the United Lowrider Council of San Jose and Local Color SJ, the 2nd Annual Lowrider Art Showcase will feature a fleet of lowriders. The free, family-friendly event includes artmaking and painting demonstrations, DJs, dancing and local food and art vendors. The showcase honors the lowrider community and is an excellent way to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. -Bill Kopp, Metro Silicon Valley
