Life Skills Course - Empowering Individuals with Disabilities

Participants will learn practical skills and strategies to manage daily tasks and activities for daily living (ADL's), maintain a healthy lifestyle, and thrive in their living environments.

Life Skills Course is a supportive and inclusive series designed to empower individuals with disabilities by teaching essential life skills. Participants will engage in structured learning sessions followed by practical, real-world experiences to build confidence in various aspects of independent living. Participants will learn about activities of daily living (ADLs), communication, money management, safety, career exploration, and how to navigate public transportation. Adaptive Recreation Intake is required.

Through interactive and hands-on activities, Dollars & Sense is a group meant to equip participants with the tools needed to manage money and plan for financial decisions.  

Safe Steps helps participants learn how to stay safe in the community, aware of their surroundings and safety techniques. 

Community Conenctions helps participants improve communication, relationship building, and collaboration. Participants will strengthen their social skills in this fun social group!

 Explore Your Community is a course designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to navigate public transportation systems. This session covers everything from planning routes and understanding schedules to safety tips and etiquette while traveling.
