Qigong exercises based in 5 Element Theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Kendal Au, Pilates & Qigong Instructor, combines her Acupressure knowledge, body knowledge & martial arts experience to teach a thoughtful class for any level. Qigong exercises are sometimes similar to Tai Chi exercises. No need to memorize any routines! Just come and participate. Qigong promotes a robust “rest & digest” nervous system, internal organ health from a TCM perspective, heart heath from a western perspective, is calming, can help with mood, strengthen muscles, increase stability and aid with range of motion. It can be done seated if you have injuries that prevent you from standing.
Dress for the weather. Shoes should be easy to move in. If you need to sit, please bring a chair. Children under 8 may attend with an adult.
