Walking Buckets was founded by three siblings who share a strong passion for basketball. Our
relationship was strengthened through sport, and we wish to share that passion with the youth of our
community. Competition in our household promoted three highly successful collegiate and professional
athletes. The eldest, Oderah Chidom, was a high school McDonald's All-American, played college
basketball for Duke University, was drafted into the WNBA, competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and
is currently playing professionally in Europe. Arinze Chidom played for Washington State University and
UC Riverside, was awarded 1st team all-Big West, won 2 MVPs in Polish and Malaysian Leagues, and
was drafted to the Santa Cruz Warriors. Amarachi Chidom was a three-year captain for Pomona-Pitzer
and decided to pursue her medical degree after her college career. We want to emphasize the different
journeys we’ve been on during our basketball careers, which include boarding school basketball, junior
college, D3, D1, Olympics, WNBA, G-League, and Overseas.
Our primary goal is to share our collective basketball knowledge with Bay Area youth. We strive to create
a safe environment where players can fine-tune their skills, grow their passion for the game, and cultivate
a productive space with like-minded individuals. With our experience, we want to make each client
motivated to grow their game.
Walking Buckets offers this 3 day spring break camp for ages 5-12. Each clinic will have a special guest appearance from local basketball stars such as Jabari Bird, Ivan Rabb and Asha Thomas. A tentative schedule includes dynamic warm-ups, ball handling, skills training, strength and conditioning, group activities such as knockout, Land/Sea/Air, relay races and King of the Court.
