Story Writing & Reading Comprehension/Literary Analysis

Story Writing - The five elements of story writing will be the focus during this session. Experienced instructors will use art and craft while introducing campers to a variety of fiction and nonfiction genres. They will progress into genre writing and learn how each genre has its own set of particular rules that drives character creation, setting, and plot. Reading Comprehension/Literary Analysis - Reading is the art of decoding letters and words. Once this art is learned it is time for the student to comprehend or understand what is read. During this class students will read and analyze varied literature, respond, and present them coherently to an audience. A $25 material fee is payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
