San Mateo County Libraries - Atherton

The goal of the workshop is to educate and raise awareness about mental health and suicidality. By shifting the focus to prevention strategies and outlining steps that can be taken prior to a crisis, including active listening, expressing care and concern, and connecting with professional help, we can provide anyone with a comprehensive understanding to help prevent suicide and support those who are encountering a mental health crisis.

StarVista will be tabling at the Atherton Library Library from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM before starting the One at a Time workshop, which will run from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. No registration is required to talk to Starvista while they are tabling!

  • 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Drop-in tabling
  • 4:30 - 6:00 PM, Registration required workshop

The StarVista Crisis Center provides suicide intervention services and programs for San Mateo County residents, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, mobile youth crisis response team, and educational presentations to the community and schools. Our professional and trained staff provide life-changing support and services with passion, dedication, and a deep sense of caring and concern for the welfare of every person we serve.

Registration will open on October 1.
